The grape selection from this special wine is Sangiovse, Merlot and Sagrantino. Actually the Sagrantino grape is origin from the region Umbria, but the winery had some friends over there and so they got some grapes to try it out. Actually what they did with this variety was so great, that the decided to create this wine. Very deep colour, very intense, very complex, humus, leather, oak wood, perfect with a special dinner like some wildboar or some deer.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Pietra Rossa DOCG 2015
is a Cru Terroir from the old winery, and maybe one of the best ones. There are a lot of stones and granit in the soil, so the wine is with a very deep and intense flavour, really deep ruby red colour and in the mouth very smooth.
The tannins are very soft and velvet - a red wine from the grapes Sangiovese - Colorino - Canaiolo Nero - the origin grapes from this area.
